Introduction

I guess the best way to begin a blog is to introduce myself.
My name is Fergal MacAlister and I'm a 61 year old musician from Dublin, Ireland.
I call myself a musician although to be precise I'm probably more a composer as I don't gig around (at my age I'd forget the words) but my songs I believe are good.

My other interests are physics (following the Large Hadron Collider in CERN with avid interest). Will it show up extra dimensions, mini black holes, the first glimmerings of string theory particles? I doubt it. Quantum mechanics in my opinion has taken us down a strange and bizarre path most of which I don't believe. I'm one of those people who think that Einstein was right and Bohr was wrong. But time will tell.

I decided to start a blog and have no idea how long I'll keep it up. It seemed an interesting thing to do.
